Effect of Photoshop on Women

Photoshop is used to alter the looks of models that pose on the front of magazines, this means that they can alter them to the point where there body looks "un natural."

This has led to thousands of women aspiring to look like the model when the model herself does not have that figure and it has just been altered in photoshop. This shows that Photoshop is being used to make women look like what they are not and this is damaging for women's self esteem.

Effects on women:

• Starve themselves to get the figure of the model
• Lowered self esteem because society expects women to look like the models
• Depression because they are trying to have the model figure but failing

Because of the way that Photoshop alters models to have near impossible figures, this has led society to believe that this is the way that all women should look. This means that men and women are more judgemental towards how women look. This applies to all women but this is more likely to take place in young women.
